Our investment focus

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest focuses particularly on small- and mediumsized companies in Denmark and the South of Sweden with good opportunities for growth and positive local social impact.

We have a particular focus on:

  • Established companies in Denmark and Sweden
    • Typically with DKK 25-250 million in turnover and 10-249 employees (not startups)
  • Profitable businesses with growth potential (not turnarounds)
    • Typically with an interest in investment size of minimum DKK 10 millions or more
  • Businesses with potential for positive social influence in society – including by taking social responsibility in the company, creating new opportunities for vulnerable people through its products and services, or contributing to the development of marginalized local areas.

Through a capital injection, Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest contributes to:

  • Growth – organically and through acquisitions
  • Ownership change and generational handover – in whole or partial
  • Partial capalization – the opportunity to minimize risk, capitalized partial, and get a professional partner on your journey of growth

When we invest in companies, we contribute with:

  • Equity investment as a majority- or minority investor (normally 20-80 percent in 4 to 7 years depending on the agreement) – with the opportunity of additionally involving experienced co-investors and also adding with responsible loans.
  • Focus on a common plan of growth (typically the management’s own) with clear incentives and fixed result follow-ups.
  • Targeted sparring via Board participation – with special strengths concerning optimisation of the company's value through, among other things, targeted strategy development, business development, organisational development, optimized management, marketing and branding.
  • Development of the company's social efforts and ESG strategy – with the same professionalism as in the rest of the business, so that social responsibility strengthens the business and the company's market position optimally.
  • Active use of our strong network of skills and contacts for the benefit of the company.
